Oyster Bridge snorkel
📍 Oyster BridgeA rock “bridge” shelters a calm lagoon ~14 km north — gentle snorkelling for kids.
About 14 km north of town in the Bateman Sanctuary Zone, a long arm of rock runs parallel to the beach and forms a small, sheltered lagoon with marine life right off the sand. The calm, shallow water makes it a lovely, low-stress snorkel for young or nervous swimmers.
It is best on a lower tide; when the water is up you can swim over or around the bridge for more coral and fish. Access is by 4WD over soft sand or on a quad-bike tour from town.
How it works
- 4WD over soft sand (follow the signs) or a quad-bike tour; no facilities.
