Purdy Point
Coral Bay’s signature drift snorkel — walk south, then ride the current back over the reef.
Purdy Point sits about 500 m south of Bill’s Bay, where a gentle northbound current sets up the classic Coral Bay drift snorkel. You walk south along the shore to the entry near the five-knot marker, swim out about 50 m to the reef, then let the current carry you slowly back north over dense coral bommies and clouds of fish.
It is effortless once you are in — you cover a lot of reef without hard swimming — but it puts you near the boat channel, so stay well inside the marker buoys and keep an eye out for traffic.
