Badjirrajirra Loop walk
📍 Charles Knife CanyonA long, exposed loop through gorges and spinifex from the top of the road.
For keen walkers, the Badjirrajirra Loop (~7.9 km, Class 4) threads spinifex plateaus and gorge heads from Thomas Carter Lookout near the top of Charles Knife Road. It is rugged, fully exposed and waymarked rather than formed — a proper arid-country walk.
There is no shade and no water, so this is an early-start, cool-season undertaking with real heat risk if you get the timing wrong.
How it works
- ~7.9 km, Class 4; allow 3–4 hrs. Marked but rough; navigation care needed.
