Jurabi turtle watching
📍 Jurabi Turtle CentreWatch nesting turtles responsibly on the western beaches — follow the code.
Over the warm months green, loggerhead and the occasional hawksbill turtle haul up the dune-backed beaches around the Jurabi Turtle Centre to nest, and later their hatchlings emerge and dash for the sea. The open-air centre teaches you how to watch without disturbing them.
Read the code of conduct first, then walk to a nearby beach after dusk and wait quietly — this is wild, unguided and entirely dependent on patience and luck.
How it works
- Self-guided: read the code at the open-air centre, then watch quietly on a nearby beach after dark.
- Ranger-led eco tours also run through the season (book via the Ningaloo Visitor Centre).
