Oyster Stacks coral snorkel
📍 Oyster StacksSome of the closest, most vivid coral on the coast — high tide only.
WhenYear-round, but only on a water level of ~1.2 m or higher (best near high tide).Full year on the Plan →
The coral here crowds right up to the rocky entry, so on the right tide you are over vivid bommies within a few fin-kicks — density and colour that are hard to beat anywhere on Ningaloo.
There is no sandy beach: you get in over rock among the namesake stacks, which makes it a spot for confident snorkellers and a strictly high-tide affair. Too little water and you damage both the coral and yourself.
How it works
- Rocky shore entry among the stacks — reef shoes strongly recommended.
- For confident snorkellers; pick a rising/high tide and calm conditions.
