Perched on the hill at the tip of the peninsula, the lighthouse gives a sweeping 360° view over the cape, the wreck of the SS Mildura below and the open Indian Ocean — and it is the go-to spot in Exmouth to watch the sun drop into the sea.

Come early, bring something to sit on, and stay for the afterglow; in season you may catch whales tracking past while you wait.
