Coral gardens
Wildlife encountersCoral Bay’s dive sites sit on the inner and outer reef a short boat ride from the bay. The local favourite is Asho’s Gap, a shallow cleaning station where grey reef sharks queue up to be cleaned; other sites range from coral gardens and macro lagoons to outer-reef walls where mantas and sharks pass through.
A town dive centre runs guided dives and PADI courses, from Discover Scuba intros up to certification. Mantas are possible year-round; the water is clearest and calmest in the cooler months.
