Scuba divingDive grey-reef-shark cleaning stations, coral bommies and outer-reef walls a short boat ride from the bay.
Coral Bay’s dive sites sit on the inner and outer reef a short run from town. The local favourite is Asho’s Gap, a shallow cleaning station where grey reef sharks queue to be cleaned; other sites range from coral gardens and macro-rich lagoons to deeper outer-reef spots where mantas and sharks pass through.
A town dive centre runs guided dives and PADI courses, from Discover Scuba intros through to certification. Mantas are possible year-round, and the water is clearest and calmest in the cooler months.
When to go
Year-round; settled and clearest April–October. Water ~19–22°C winter, ~25–28°C summer.

How it works
- Mostly boat-based; PADI courses and intro “try” dives available through the town dive centre.
- Sites are mostly shallow with gentle conditions — broadly all-levels; certification needed for most dives.
