When the sandbar at the mouth is closed, Yardie Creek becomes a sheltered, scenic paddle between towering gorge walls — calm water, deep reflections and rock-wallabies on the ledges above.

It is one of the most striking short paddles on the coast, and a quiet way to see the gorge under your own power rather than from the tour boat.
